Tara is a medium-sized 6 month old female Cross-Breed from Romania. She is a very shy and timid girl and is very scared of strangers. She is doing well in her foster home however and is now enjoying cuddles and kisses. Part of the reason she is coming on so well is because she is with resident dogs, you can see her studying them and following their guidance.
For this reason she must be rehomed with at least 1 permanent resident dog. She is perfect with both dogs and cats. When Tara first got here, she would scream and be mouthy when touched. Lots of patience, consistency and positive reinforcement has paid off and Tara is much improved however there are times she can be flighty still and she needs gently encouragement or more space.
We still have work to do on lead training Tara and she will not be released until she has the hang of this as it would not be safe but we would like any potential adopters to visit several times to get to know her, hence us advertising now. She is spayed, vaccinated, wormed and deflead.
We are looking for an adult only home preferably with experience of nervous foreign dogs who is around most of the time. She is picking up house training but does need to be closely monitored. She sleeps well through the night but does come to bed with her foster carer.
Tara will probably always be scared of strangers and any adopters must be prepared to manage this long term. She is in foster in Melling. Will only rehome to Merseyside or very near surrounding areas.
