Thor – 3 year old male Cross-Breed

Thor is a 3 year old male Cross-Breed of large size. His story is the typical one of so many dogs living in villages in Spain. Since he was a puppy he spent 24 hours chained up next to the house. His previous owner didn’t care about him didn’t feed him, didn’t give him any veterinary care or anything attention. The owner treated his car better and interacted more with it than with Thor.

Thor was howling and barking to call the attention and it were the neighbors who threw food over the fencing during the owner was away so at least Thor was able to get something to eat. This continued until one of the neighbors couldn’t bear with the situation and the suffering of Thor and argued with the owner until he agreed to hand over the dog. That’s how Thor came into our care.

Thor is now in foster care in Spain and catching up everything that previously was refused to him. He is an active and young dog who is enjoying the attention he gets. He loves his long walks in the mountains and fields. Thor is a social dog who is very social and affectionate. He is good with people and other dogs, but not keen on cats.

Thor is a lively dog. We are looking for an active home who is able to manage a large sized dog and is happy to have long walks with him in the mountains or go hiking. He has never lived with children and taking his size into consideration we will only consider adult homes or families with children 14+ age .

We are a voluntary organization which rescues primarily dogs from a public pound in Galicia, in Northern Spain, where the dogs instead of living, are trying to survive. 99% of the dogs are strays or have been abandoned by their owners on the street. The dogs are a variety of breeds and come in all shapes and sizes! We are funded entirely by donations and work hard in our free time to help rescue and rehome as many dogs as possible. With your help we can continue our work and provide food, bedding, medical supplies and care for the dogs until they are well enough to find their forever homes. All dogs rehomed via TeLuMa’s Dream are microchipped, fully vaccinated, wormed, deflead and spayed/neutered if old enough, if not the adoption contract will stipulate that this is done as soon as old enough and this will be checked with your vet. We re-home dogs anywhere in the U.K. This means that you can apply if you have a U.K postal code. Our aim is to pair each dog with the right new owner, ensuring that it will be safe, cared for and loved for the rest of its life. Therefore all potential adopters will be asked to complete a questionnaire. Also a homecheck is carried out and a phone interview prior to adoption. We offer a full rescue back up service to all our adopters and post-adoption support, which includes a Facebook support group and free behavioral advice.
