Tia – 5-6 year old female Saluki Cross

Tia is a 5-6 year old female Saluki Cross . Due to personal circumstances the stunning Tia is looking for a new very loving home. She has been adored by her family for the past 5.5 years and is an exquisite, cat friendly cuddle monster who deserves (and expects) the very best! She is a very fine boned, pretty fawn Saluki cross girlie of approximately 28″ to the shoulder. Tia is nearly 6 years of age. Tia is a cheeky, beautiful bundle of love and huggles! She adores attention and likes to be as close as possible to you. She can be nervous and shy with loud noises and change of routine as she is a very sensitive girl and her new family will need to give her lots of love and support to help get her settled.

Tia is 100% clean in the home and will ask to go out. She can be a cheeky little monkey and steal food so make sure that it’s not within reach if you want to actually eat your dinner! If Tia was a person she would probably be a super model with insomnia and can have a disrupted sleep patterns and leave her bed to get in with you and she will also ‘bed hop’ if she feels cold. She can be left for up to 4 hours on her own or with other gentle canine company with no problems but likes her own space when she is tired and sleeping.

Tia is great with all gentle dogs of all sizes but can be shy initially which can soon turn to quite rough play. Having now not lived with cats for several years sadly Tia has tested non cat friendly as she has become over excited by them. Tia loves her walks and is really good on the lead, only pulling if taunted by a squirrel or small furry. Unfortunately Tia can be car sick on long journeys, however she can travel for over 2 hours without a problem. She can go off lead once properly having bonded with her new family (this process can take months and must not be rushed) in a safe environment away from livestock, wildlife and public roads. Tia loves the beach.

We feel the beautiful Tia would be happiest with an active retired couple or someone who works from home who can fulfil her need for affection and one on one attention. Normally we will home dogs to families with children over 8 years of age, but we feel that Tia would be happier with teenagers. He can be homed anywhere in the UK provided we have a home checker available, but please note that you will be required to travel to Norfolk to meet and collect her. Tia is currently in a foster home in Suffolk, where she is patiently waiting for her forever family to find her.

Tia is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, deflead and wormed. A home check will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

Kerry Greyhounds UK

Kerry Greyhounds UK operates through a network of volunteers to rehome greyhounds and lurchers. The majority of our dogs are from Ireland. We are dedicated to finding the very best forever homes and provide ongoing support and encouragement to all of our placement families and hounds.

We neuter, vaccinate and microchip each dog and give them a veterinary check before they are rehomed. We rely on public donations to enable us to carry out our work and refuse, on principle, any financial assistance from the greyhound racing industry.

If you have an adoption enquiry, please either email us at bronwen@kerrygreyhounds.co.uk, or telephone Bronwen on 075 000 62648.
