Toby is nearly two, he’s Daschund crossed with a Jack Russell Terrier and has been neutered. Toby is a very happy friendly alert little boy. He loves to play ball for as long as you are willing. He is trainable, already knows Sit. Down. Rollover and Come. The basics are there. What Tobi would dream of is an active family possibly older children of 10 years plus. He makes a very involved member of the family, his happy tail always wagging and willing to join in the fun. He really is a charming happy engaging dog. He is quite self assured but not over pushy. He will chase the cat although is learning, in foster that it’s not too beneficial if the cat is standing still and can swipe.
Toby has a little history in that he was brought up with children 5 years approx, but during a visit to his home a 3 year old went to him while resting or sleeping and tried to cuddle him, he nipped her hand. Nobody saw exactly what happened. So that’s how reluctantly Toby ended up in rescue. His own children were never wary of him and played all the time with him, cuddling him too. A pity for all concerned. He has always been well loved and his Fosterer says they have no concerns about a character flaw. Never ever shown any side to himself except the happy chappie that he is.
He will need a good morning walk with off leash for a minimum 40 mins plus a later walk in the evening.
Toby is clean, can be left, loves his toys is good with other dogs. The fosterer’s discerning little dog readily accepted him straight away. He would fit into a lot of differing homes so long as there are walks and games on offer.
