Trixie loves to be out the house, absolutely loves travelling in the car and can’t wait to jump in to go on adventures. Once out she is very keen to get going and a very active girl. She has been clean in the house from day 1 and sleeps well overnight.

In the home she is calm and very easy to have around, she loves nothing more than a comfy bed to sleep the day away on. In 2016 when she arrived at the shelter in Cyprus, it was clear she had serious ear infections that had gone untreated. So she had to undergo a total ear canal ablation (she has no ear holes). Initially we assumed she would be deaf due to this but now she is in a home we have discovered she actually does have some hearing.

If you whistle loudly in the house she will look at you but outside with other noises we are not sure how much hearing she has. Her foster mum has been training her to vibration, so if her collar is buzzed she looks to her foster mum and gets a treat.

Obviously this will be an ongoing training technique that may become more effective, for this reason she hasn’t been off lead ( the remote doesn’t work from a distance ) she is on a long lead and she loves exploring her surroundings. She isn’t a massive puller but she does like to keep moving.

She is good around treats and food and can be fed around others. She is crate trained, although she isn’t a chewer and has a nice comfy bed in her XXL crate which is always as it’s left she seems much more settled and comfortable at night being in her safe den. She’s happy living with other dogs, male or female, and it might be beneficial for her to have another doggy companion to follow but equally we are sure she would be okay as an only dog if her new human was around for much of the time. This girl will totally melt your heart and give you the most love you could ever wish for.
