Troy is a 3 year old male medium sized Cross-Breed. He is fostered near Norwich The first picture we saw of Troy was of an adolescent dog, emaciated, cowering in the corner of a filthy pen in a public shelter in Romania. A lady pity on him and sponsored his release from that awful place and into a private shelter where he would be cared for and nurtured back to health. Physically he quickly recovered but the shelter was not an environment that would allow him to thrive mentally and there just wasn’t enough hours in a day for the carers at the shelter to devote to one scared dog when so many others there were just as much in need. So after over a year he was finally able to come to us in the UK.
To our amazement Troy was playing with the other dogs and approaching his fosterer playfully on his first evening here. It was still several weeks later before he would allow us to touch him and he still has a little way to go before he appreciates and asks for a fuss but the day will come and whoever gets to experience that is going to be overwhelmingly proud. Troy is an extremely playful and mischievous dog, he is now living the puppyhood he was cruelly denied and he’s having a ball. He loves his walks and is a pleasure to take out. He runs freely with a trailing lead in the woods and never goes far away but still has the time of his life. He essentially needs another playful dog in his adoptive home but above all else needs patience and understanding because whilst he can learn so much in these new surroundings but his past cannot be erased completely
Our adoption fee is £250. They are vaccinated, microchipped and neutered (unless they are too young). If you are interested please message or call between 9am and 6pm
