Twila – 2 year old female Brittany Spaniel Cross

Twila is a small (12kg) 2 year old female Brittany Spaniel Cross. She’s healthy, active and loves to do zoomies in the garden. She loves her people but can be fearful around new people that she does not know and will need some time to get used to them. She tends to bark a lot when she is nervous or unsure.

Twila is housetrained and sleeps happily in a crate overnight with the door open. As Twila is a nervous dog that gets stressed easily she will need a quiet adult only home or with children 16+. She can live with one calm male resident dog, who ideally will play with her but also put her in her place when needed.

She finds young children very stimulating and will often jump up and mouth their clothes and is very bouncy and vocal in play. If you have young children visiting the home, this would need to be carefully monitored. She is reactive to cats and therefore needs a cat-free home.

Twila would love a home where she can work on her fear reactivity to other dogs and continue her training, with lots of exercise and the chance to flop on the couch and snuggle. She will bark at some dogs she does not know but has shown no aggression. She travels well in the car and generally sleeps on long journeys and is quite relaxed.

Twila is a sweet natured girl who still has a lot to learn about the world and needs an understanding home environment where they will take her sensitivities into consideration and be around for much of the day.
