Zana – 2 year old female Saluki Cross

Zana is a beautiful white fluffy female Saluki mix who is currently in Oman. Her dob is 18/11/2021 and she weighs around 13kg. She was rescued in 2022 after she was found wandering the streets, probably abandoned by her previous owners.

Zana came into our care quite shy and weary of everyone she met but over time, she has gotten used to the kindness of the volunteers and is a lot more confident in herself.

She is very affectionate with those she knows, she will jump up for attention and is happy to be picked up and cuddled like a baby!

She is leash trained and does enjoy going for walks but is scared around vehicles and any loud unfamiliar noises. For this reason, she would be better suited to living in a rural or semi-rural environment.

Zana is okay with the other dogs at the shelter and has one best friend, so she could potentially live with other dogs depending on their personality and temperament. We are unsure what she is like with cats but could cat-test her if needed.

Her ideal home would be with patient, kind dog experienced people who have the time and energy to put into a rescue dog and give her the time she needs to feel safe in her new home. She has never been around children so a child-free home would be best for her.

Zana is spayed, fully vaccinated and microchipped. Please note it would take 3-4 months to prepare her for travel to the UK.

Our dogs are rescued from the streets of Oman where they live terrible lives, often suffering abuse, starvation, fatal car accidents and victims of shootings.

They’re primarily wadi dogs, a type of mixed breed sighthound and make wonderful pets. They’re incredibly loyal, loving and intelligent.
