Please meet Zestful Zeus! Zeus is an absolutely gorgeous German shepherd pup of just 10 months old. Zeus came into rescue when his owners split up and were unable to keep him. Zeus went to the vets the day after he arrived to be castrated, where he vomited pieces of his comfort blanket from his previous home, we then had to perform an ex lap to make sure there was no remnants of the blanket in his tummy, he is back to full health now but is a very lucky boy indeed.
Zeus is a victim of the corona virus lock down, and as a result, prior to coming to us he had not been socialised with people or other animals, he was initially very scared and distrusting of us and refused to get in our car for over an hour, however since being with us he has blossomed into a gorgeous confident lad with dogs, cats and people and doesn’t seem too damaged by the lockdown.
Zeus is ball obsessed, however being a youngster, if he doesn’t want to give it back after fetching, you are not getting it back! He loves water and playing with the hose, and he loves to swim and run!
Zeus can be a little guardy over his food and water around other dogs and this is purely due to not having to share, he responds very well to correction from the other dogs and is very quick to learn, he is fine with people around both.
Zeus would probably be best as the only dog in the home, however he could happily live with other dogs, it will just take him longer to focus and learn, as everything is currently a game for him!
Zeus is responsive and quick to learn very attentive and easy to train, walks perfectly on the lead and is perfect off, he is extremely sociable with other dogs big and small, and true to her breed is protective of his pack.
Zeus is clean in the house and fine to be left for short periods of time, please remember while he is a big boy, he is still young and will need ongoing training and guidance. Zeus is a very busy and active dog so would make a fantastic working dog – he is always on the go!
Zeus will need a home that has owned German Shepherds before, he adores his pack and is an amazing all-round dog. he is the perfect age to make him exactly what you want him to be, and his nature is fantastic, he is a really gorgeous well-rounded dog.
Zeus would benefit from an active home where he can work or take part in agility. Zeus can live with children aged 15 plus that are used to the breed. Zeus is castrated, microchipped flea and wormed. Could you offer Zeus the forever home he so desperately deserves?
