Alison is a Miniature Dachshund cross of around two years old. Alison fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001). Alison is a quiet, timid little dog and unfortunately one of her many fears is cameras so getting good clear pictures of her is proving a little difficult. Alison is mixing bravely with all of the other dogs here but I think being the smallest in the crowd is always a little intimidating and I’m sure she will be pleased when she can move on to somewhere a bit quieter.

Alison is going to need some time to adjust to home life, I have no idea what kind of life she led in Romania prior to her stay in the dog rescue shelter clinic but at the moment she will not be in the same room as the television when it’s on. She is happy for me to pick her up and cuddle her but if I bring her in the living room she’s instantly tense and cannot wait to escape to a television free room! Of course she can and will gain in confidence over time her technology phobia (phones, cameras, tvs etc) is rather a new one on me but I’m sure in time she will learn to get with the times. Time, patience, love and understanding will win out in the end of course.

Alison is such a mouse of a dog I’m sure that living with cats won’t be a problem as she is far more likely to be afraid of them than they are of her. She is gentle with my dog savvy children but again a quiet life is what she craves and boisterous youngsters is not really what she needs.
