Bear is a 4 year old male Cross-Breed. He is looking for a experienced home where he can be guided and loved. Bear was brought over from Romania, when he was about 6 months old. He was adopted quickly into a home and Bear decided that he was going to be the boss and not let anyone into the house and if scared, he would show the world he was there.

Over time this led to Bear being aggressive and fearful of everyone and everything. In this time he was rehomed twice without the rescues knowledge. Both homes fell through and he returned to his original adopters. His original adopters relationship came to an end and neither wanted or could cope with Bear anymore so a desperate call was made to the rescue. Bears options were go back to the rescue or to be PTS. The rescue obviously took him back.

Bear went straight into a foster home with an experienced and knowledgeable foster mum and dad. After a rocky couple of weeks he started to settle and stopped seeing everyone and everything as a threat. He started to trusted his foster mum and dad and their pack of dogs. Bear is now very affectionate, and wants to be loved and fussed. He allows people into the house with no issues and often plays with his foster dog siblings! Bear even had a successful trip to the vets, so is now vaccinated!
Bear still sees the outside world as a bit scary so can still be reactive when out but with time, trust and a commitment to training we fully believe this can be overcome. Bear is an adorable dog that just lost his way and is now ready for his true forever home. He has to have experienced owners that are willing to work with him and take time to get to know him.
Bear does like being part of a pack so other resident dog(s) would be a bonus. He has shown no interest in babies/children but due to his history we would say no to children unless much older (16+).
