Candy – 4 year old male Belgian Shepherd cross Collie

Candy is a four year old Belgian Shepherd cross Collie. She’s quite a big girl. Candy is fostered in Great Yarmouth (FR001). Candy was originally brought to us three years ago after having grown up in the care of a shelter in Romania. At that point she was a bit of a handful and it took quite a while to rehome her. She did eventually get adopted and did very well for a time. Unfortunately when the adopters went on holiday recently they kenneled her with their other small dog and whilst unsupervised they had a fight and the adopters wouldn’t take Candy back when they returned home.

Candy is with us again, she is in a foster home with a multitude of other dogs of all sizes and is gentle and kind with them. Candy has also lived successfully with cats in the past. Having had the care of her during both her stays with us I can see a huge difference in her since she has matured.

Candy is a well behaved, loving dog who enjoys her walks. She’s been very good with my children and in fact has always loved being with kids of all ages. Candy travels well in a car and can be left at home for periods of time with no issues.

To date we have helped dogs from Spain, Cyprus and Turkey but the majority of our work takes place in Romania where we have built up strong relationships with many dedicated rescuers before bringing the dogs to the UK and into foster care for rehoming.
