Comet – 2 year old female Lurcher

Comet is a 2 year old fantastic medium sized Lurcher girl. She came to us a couple of months ago with Bonnie and went into a foster home with view to keep. Sadly whilst running off lead Comet cut her foot open badly. Due to her not being able to be exercised because of the injury and work commitments she has had to come back into our care. She is fabulous with other dogs and good both on and off lead. She is also fine to be left for short periods of time and is crate trained. However, Comet has quite high energy levels so really needs another young lurcher to hoon around with and would prefer a home where someone is around most of the time to continue to bring her on and help her settle.

[rehomed]

Comet is not cat friendly. Comet spent some time in a foster home with a child, she loved him and all of his friends getting on well with them all. She would flourish in a family home with another young dog as a companion. Although Comet is almost fully housetrained she does have the occasionally accident so a little more work would be required with this.

Comet is such a sweet girl and really deserves a loving patient home where all members of the family are committed to giving her the love she so desperately deserves. This girl really is a gem and we are now desperate to get her out into a permanent home or foster home.  She is currently based in Staffordshire, Midlands.

The foot is all now healed perfectly and will not cause her any further problems. Comet is vaccinated, kennel cough vaccinated, treated for parasites, microchipped and spayed.

Greyhound Gap
Greyhound Gap

Greyhound Gap is a small independent charity set up to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome greyhounds and lurchers who find themselves in a ‘put to sleep’ situation in UK pounds. Funded almost entirely by donations, we rehome around 150 dogs each year. We can have around 40-50 dogs at any one time in our kennels based in Kidsgrove, Stoke on Trent and a further 30-40 in foster homes. Greyhound Gap operates on a national basis so our dogs can be homed throughout the UK subject to a suitable home visit being carried out.

If you are interested in adopting a dog from Greyhound Gap, we would ask that in the first instance you could take a few moments to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire if you have not already done so: http://www.greyhoundgap.org.uk/our-dogs/pre-adoption-questionnaire
