Hi everyone! My name is Dako.
I spent my childhood on the streets. I wasn’t alone — my little sister was with me. We were scared, hiding in the bushes by the roadside, not trusting anyone because all we knew was fear.
One day, a volunteer saw us — or rather, she saw her first. Her tiny body was lying on the asphalt; she had been hit by a car and wasn’t moving anymore. Next to her was me, frozen and terrified.
The volunteer approached slowly, speaking gently, and little by little, she made me believe that not all of the world is cruel.
She took me with her, far away from that pain, and gave me a second chance. Now I’m safe — and I truly hope my story reaches someone who, just like me, only needs to be seen and loved.
As you can see, I’m a wonderful young dog — very sweet, obedient, cuddly, and sociable with people and other dogs.
