Dexter is a 6-7 month old male Lurcher cross. He can be left for 4 hours without any problem. He hasnt lived with a cat and has not been properly cat tested but he is very interested in them when he sees them out, and he could chase (as I have found with birds, in which he has an unhealthy interest!) He has been to obedience classes since September and is level 2. He can walk to heel when a food treat is offered but can be distracted by other dogs. He can fetch and bring, and sit on command, as well as a sit/stay, although at times is a little stubborn depending on his mood. He does a perfect emergency stop! He has been walked with a combination of off lead and on-lead to work on his training.

‘Off lead’ his recall is brilliant when no other doggie distractions but he would not be able to go off lead in residential roads, only in fields/woodland etc. He can pull on the lead, not always, but sometimes, I have been working on this. He is well socialised and loves other dogs, and although he hasn’t had a live-in dog companion as yet, I think he would love to be homed with one for company. He would just play all day if he could. he is smaller than he looks in the picture His appetite is brilliant and he eats all his meals (twice a day) and I have never known him to be off his food. He is vaccinated, wormed, micro chipped and vet checked.
