Dolly is a seven year old black Retriever cross. Dolly is fostered in Gt Yarmouth (FR001). Dollys is another sad tale of a tragically wasted life. She has spent almost all her life at the Baia Mare public shelter in Romania. Living in a small space with no comforts. She was adopted once in Romania for three months but brought back when they no longer needed their property protected and she was returned far more nervous than when she left.

When I agreed to take Dolly I was told that she didn’t like contact from people. Yet as I write this she is asleep at my feet having followed me into the living room for a proper fuss and cuddle and she hasn’t even been here for a week yet. She is a beautiful unassuming character that just wants a quiet life. She’s done more than her time being surrounded by 600 barking dogs.

She deserves the nicest most pampered future anyone can give her. She can live with other quiet dogs that don’t treat her roughly. She may well be shy for a few days on arrival but that just makes it all the more sweeter the first time she looks happy to see you.
