Dylan – 3 year old male Pomeranian

Dylan is a 3 year old male Pomeranian. He is now searching for a home with someone who is home most of the day!
He is a very excitable boy with lots of energy and can be quite clingy. All he wants is cuddles with his fosterer and lots of treats. As he is long haired his fur will need to be groomed regularly and occasional trips to the groomer may be necessary.

He came to Rescue Me after he found himself at the Wardens after being picked up as a stray. Therefore, we don’t have much information about his background and from our assessments he would require a home with no young children (12+) and with older children who are savvy with dogs. He is great on walks and loves meeting new people.

He loves meeting new dogs but he can be quite fussy with which dogs he chooses to like. We would prefer he went to a home without another dog but he may be able to live with another dog if their temperaments and personalities match.

All resident dogs would need to be neutered to be considered. We don’t know if he has ever lived with cats but he was very well behaved with the resident cats at the rescue so could possibly live with cats that are savvy around dogs. He is fine to be left alone for short periods of time and although he hasn’t shown any signs of separation anxiety he can bark when initially left alone but settles quickly.

He is toilet trained but did have a couple of accidents when he first went to his foster home. He doesn’t seem to know any of the basic commands but his fosterer has been working with the training which will need to be continued after he is adopted. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchip and treated for parasites. He is currently in foster care in the Wirral.
