Esme is a female Cross-Breed puppy aged approximately 6 months old. She will be quite a large dog when she is fully grown, we estimate the size of a large German Shepherd. She can be rehomed with other dogs but not cats please. She has a lovely temperament and we feel she would be suitable to be rehomed with sensible, older children aged 8 years or over. She came into our rescue because the previous owner’s son was allergic to dogs.

She’s such a friendly little girl, it’s so sad to think of her in kennels, especially in her puppyhood. She is an absolute sweetheart – playful, affectionate and eager to please. She loves a cuddle too and will sit on your lap if you let her, despite her size! She is super intelligent and quick to learn; she’s walking well on a lead and harness, loves the park and woods and enjoys her walks with the other dogs. She does a lovely sit and stay and will give her paw, not bad for a youngster of this age. However, her training will need to be continued and she will need full house training, She is coming on well and I foresee no problems for her future, as I feel she will blossom even more in a new home and grow into a very well mannered larger lady.

Puppies and younger dogs are a huge commitment and this should not be underestimated; they will take up all of your time and do not calm down much before 18 months to 2 years of age, if you are
lucky. You will need to have time for training and continued socialisation, preferably going to training classes too. All dogs, especially puppies require companionship and as such we would not rehome this little one with a household of full time workers, as a young dog, home alone all day long is a recipe for disaster, it’s amazing the damage little teeth can cause!

So if you are looking for a puppy or young dog, please do consider our little lady. You won’t find a friendlier youngster than our Enchanting Esme! All our dogs have a thorough veterinary health check and are micro-chipped, neutered (unless too young), flea/worm treated and are fully vaccinated. They also come with 6 weeks free insurance. Home check and minimum donation of £165 will apply; a securely fenced garden is a must.
