Feya is a Ukraine war dog in need of a safe haven. Available under a foster-to-adopt. Expected arrival: Friday 25 July

Feya is a dainty, small (or very smallish-medium) size 11-month-old sweetheart with quiet grace and an open heart. She learns quickly, loves companionship, and finds her courage through the example of those she trusts.

Feya dearly wishes for her forever family to notice her, so she put on her finest dress and posed beautifully for a photo session.

Her name means Fairy, and while she may not be able to grant every wish, there’s one she can surely make come true: helping her family find the most loyal soul they could ever hope for.

HIGHLIGHTS:

SIZE: Small or very smallish-medium (40 cm shoulder height / 9 kg)
SPAYED/NEUTERED: Yes
CHARACTER HIGHLIGHTS: Sweet, Quick Learner, Gentle, Sensitive
DOGS: Good with other dogs – looking for confident dog companion
CATS: Good with cats
CHILDREN: Good with calm, gentle children (10+)

Rescue Story:
Feya and her sister Puma were found as tiny pups left behind at an abandoned holiday cottage ground in rural Ukraine. The cold, the hunger, the silence—somehow they survived. From those harsh beginnings, they’ve learned to trust again, and are now preparing for a brighter future in the UK.

More About Feya:
Feya is sweet as a whisper and watches the world with quiet curiosity. She’s a fast learner, clever and tuned-in, but needs time and soft encouragement to build confidence.

She takes her lead from other dogs, copying their movements and comfort levels, so a friendly resident dog is important to guide her as she settles in.

She is affectionate once bonded and loves human companionship. At first, she can be shy, but when trust is formed, you’ll see a gentle, eager-to-please little girl who wants nothing more than a lap to lie on and a garden to explore.

Ideal Family:
Feya would be happiest in a peaceful, countryside or quiet-suburb home with a secure private garden and a resident calm, confident dog to show her the ropes.

She’ll suit a gentle family or couple, ideally with someone home often and with the patience to let her blossom in her own time. Dog-savvy children over 10 will be absolutely fine.

If you’ve ever seen a frightened dog take its first joyful run in safety—you know the magic of patience and love. Feya is ready for that moment. She may be shy, but behind those eyes is a heart longing to belong. Her journey is just beginning—will you be the one to give her the ending she deserves?

Health Information:
Feya is fully healthy. Spayed. Has all core vaccines done, microchipped. All dogs are C.Brucella tested before trip (owners will receive a licensed laboratory test certificate).

RBU, post-adoption support, and 4 weeks free PetPlan insurance provided upon adoption.

Paws Help
Paws Help

Paws Help is a foster-based British rescue (Registered Charity Number 1209924) dedicated to helping UK-surrendered dogs, as well as dogs from the war-torn Ukraine and some Eastern European countries. We rehome dogs across Britain, giving every dog the chance of a safe and loving future.

All funds received by Paws Help, including adoption fees, go directly towards the rescue and care of dogs in need. No admin costs, no salaries are taken by our team, as the charity is staffed entirely by volunteers.

All dogs receive a health check, are neutered (age permitting), microchipped, vaccinated, and—if coming from overseas—tested for C. Brucella before travel. We provide Rescue Back-Up (RBU), post-adoption support, and 4 weeks of free insurance with every adoption.

An adoption fee and home check apply.

Most dogs are offered under a foster-to-adopt arrangement—a trial period of up to two weeks—so there is no need to pay the full adoption fee upfront.
