Flipper – 4 year old male Lurcher

Flipper is a four year old Lurcher. We don’t really know very much of Flipper’s history before he came to us, but he had spent several months at another rescue with no interest prior coming to us. The poor lad had spent nearly an entire year in kennels and is just desperate for a lucky break and a new start. He has now been in foster for a few months and is house trained, can be left and lives quite happily with other hounds and a chihuahua without any issue.

 

He has had to watch countless other dogs coming in and out and can’t quite understand why he has been left behind and doesn’t have a family of his own yet. Unfortunately just because he is adult, male, black, means that he has hardly had a look in. If you took time out to get to know Flipper you would see that behind his eyes lies a warm and loving heart. Flipper craves affection, loves to be covered with his little blanket at night, and would spend all day every day just standing there with his paws around your shoulders, leaning on you and hugging you if he could. He wants reassurance, security and love.

In the time that we have known Flipper we have seen him change remarkably. It’s an honour to see him start to trust, and slowly learn new things about life. He has come on in leaps and bounds since he has been in foster, and whilst he was once quite unsure of new situations, he happily goes to new places and goes off his lead with dogs both big and small now. He will make somebody not just an amazing pet, but a faithful and loving companion, he just needs somebody to give him that chance. It is guaranteed that Flipper will give back far more than whatever you put in. He is just a cracking little dog, quietly waiting for the opportunity to be allowed to enjoy and live his life like any dog should.

Flipper is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and flead and wormed. He can be homed both locally and nationally dependent on a successful homecheck.
