Horatio – 9 month old male Golden Doodle

Horatio is a 9 month old male Golden Doodle. Poor Horatio joined us from a large rescue where a hoarding situation had occurred, multiple dogs were surrendered from the home and it was clear that some had never left the kennels they were born in.

Hamlet and Horatio were the two dogs we took in, the rest were split between multiple other rescues. We know that Horatio is a Golden Doodle; he weighs just 10kg so we believe it was a miniature poodle x Golden Retriever mating.

When Horatio arrived, he was filthy, smelly and terrified, but you could see he was desperate to make friends and interact with people and the dogs, he just didn’t seem to know how to.

He would approach wagging his tail and then retreat as soon as you tried to offer attention. He had never walked on a lead or indeed left his filthy kennel, and never lived in a home. Shocking that in 2025 this is still happening to such innocent animals.

Horatio is very scared of new places and things, but once he knows you he fast becomes your shadow and will happily follow you around everywhere. He will need a calm and patient home to build his confidence with, and to learn life isn’t scary.

He will be an amazing companion! He has already come on miles from the little dog that arrived a few weeks ago. He loves playing with the other dogs over the farm and is accepting a harness and lead.

He will also take treats from my hand when we are outside. Once he trusts his humans you can see his confidence coming through.

He is an adorable little man full of mischief and trouble and just desperate for a family to share it with! Horatio is only a small dog. He is a non-moulting breed so will need regular grooming. He currently weighs 10.8kg and we don’t expect him to grow much bigger.

Horatio is gorgeous both inside and out, everything is like an adventure to him and he is so adorable. He will make a fab addition to his new family. He is great with dogs and dog savvy cats, can be homed with children age 13 years plus.

It’s such a shame for such a baby to find himself homeless and with such a terrible start. He has lived a very sheltered life so far, however once he found his feet he is a typical mischievous, active, fun little puppy—or bundle of fluff as he is affectionately known!

Horatio is still a pup so will need ongoing training. He is part house trained and is non-destructive. He absolutely adores other dogs so could happily live with a companion. He also adores cats, although they are not so keen on him!

Horatio is fine to be left for very short periods, but this will need to be built up slowly with him. He is still a baby.

Horatio is a gorgeous puppy that so desperately needs a forever home and family to grow up with. Horatio is neutered, he is microchipped, de-flead and wormed, and has had his first vaccination.
