Iris is medium sized, weighing only 10 kg and is around 18 months old. Iris was rescued as a tiny pup after being abandoned along with her siblings in a forest with little hope of survival. After her rescue she spent many months living amongst other dogs with very little human interaction. She came into our care for some much needed socialising and she has had that and so much more. Iris is such a sweet, amazing little dog and her fosterer has worked wonders with her and now she’s ready for her forever home. This is what her foster mum has to say about her.

Iris was the god of the rainbow and the flower is often associated with royalty, our very own Princess Iris has so much in common with her name, she is beautiful, gentle, loving, loyal and playful. She lights up the room and will seek you out for a soft and welcoming cuddle, she is playful and still a puppy at heart happily play bowing and goofing around with her foster brother and sisters. She is shy but a quick learner and rewards you with her loyalty.

Iris loves companionship and needs a home where someone will be home more often than not, someone who is active and can share all the new experiences with her. She would be suited to a home with other dogs as her family and older children who are patient and calm. She is clean in the house and can be left for short periods of time. Iris needs someone with experience of rescue dogs who can continue to work to build her confidence.

Iris is spayed, fully vaccinated and ready for her special home. Home check and adoption fee apply.
