Jack – 18 month old male Collie cross Kelpie

Jack is an 18 month old male Collie cross Kelpie who is extremely bright and intelligent and knows all the basic commands such as heel, sit, give paw, lie down. stay etc. He just loves to please and Jack would flourish with further training as it would stimulate him mentally, his recall is 100% and he returns every time he is called. He walks well on a harness and shows no particular interest in small furries. He loves a cuddle, travels well in the car and can be left for 4 hours or so. He does love a game with the hoover though and will try and play with it.

[rehomed]

With careful introductions Jack is great with other dogs and very playful around them. He does seem to have a fear of new dogs being face to face with him and as a result sometimes displays some fear aggression manifesting itself as snapping at them. Once intro’s are complete, he loves to play and is living happily with assorted family dogs and foster dogs.

His fosterer says: ‘Jack is a very special boy to us and if our circumstances were different we would without any doubt be keeping him. He is just the sweetest, most loving little boy who just needs security, discipline and a loving home. Whoever takes Jack on needs to be prepared to continue his socialisation and to challenge him mentally and physically. He needs an active home where he can gets lots of walks as he is in his element running free on the mountains. We are looking for a collie experienced home with older, dog savvy children.’

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped prior to rehoming. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family.

Please contact Heather, our Rehoming Manager, if you are interested in rehoming a Hope Rescue dog, please telephone 01443 226659.

Please note, puppies need to be neutered at their new owners expense. Neutering is a condition of adoption and something we follow up to ensure it has been completed.

We do not rehome puppies to full time workers

Puppies must also be taken to training classes and this will be followed up. If you do not know of training classes in your area please research this before you contact us about rehoming.

All Hope Rescue dogs are neutered (if over 6 months), vaccinated, flea treated, wormed and micro-chipped prior to adoption. If a puppy is not old enough to be neutered then this must be carried out at the owner’s expense when old enough, and the relevant form completed by the vet and returned to Hope Rescue. A homecheck will be required, and you will need to come and meet the dog with your own dogs and family. Hope Rescue rehomes throughout the UK. A Pre-Home Interest Form can be downloaded from www.hoperescue.org.uk and should be returned to enquiries@hoperescue.org.uk
