Maconry is a 2 year old Greyhound boy who was not fast enough for the race track. He has a black tuxedo coat that is a bit dull at the moment but that will improve with some good quality food.

Maconry is a really nice, friendly hound who is fun to be around. He has a relaxed, laid back demeanor and is generally a very happy hound who is easy to keep contented. All Maconry wants from life is yummy food, a soft bed, and plenty of cuddles! He is really just a big soft sweetiepie and we think he will make a fantastic companion for whomever decides to adopt him. Maconry gets on well with the other greyhounds in the kennels and also travels well in the car.
Lovely Maconry has sadly spent all his life so far in racing kennels, so new owners will need to be a bit patient during the first couple of weeks and allow him time to get accustomed to the new home environment. He has not yet been tested with smaller dogs or cats, but these can be carried out prior to adoption if required.
Maconry is currently in kennels in Ireland, and can be transported via Kerry Greyhounds to the UK or Europe if a suitable home offer comes up. This will be organised and paid for by Kerry Greyhounds, and we ask only for a donation to help cover costs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea’d and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

The lovely Maconry is now in foster care and is loving the home life. It wont be too long before he learns the house rules and becomes fully housetrained.
Maconry has also shown to be small dog friendly and is very mannerly in greeting them. He could live with a small dog, and enjoys the company of both human and canine. He is not cat friendly, however.
Maconry is currently in foster care in Norfolk, UK. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, de-flea’d and wormed and a homecheck will be required as part of the adoption procedure.

The gorgeous Maconry recently helped out at the annual Carnival in Cromer, Norfolk and was very well behaved. He met lots of people of all ages, greeted them with a calm grace and helped to promote greyhounds as pets.
Maconry’s coat is so much better now and is starting to become sleek and shiny, making him a very pretty boy to behold.
He even got himself a new girlfriend in the form of Mildred! She’s another of our hounds looking for her forever home.
