Malena is a 2 year old female Cross-Breed. She is being returned to rescue through no fault of her own.
Malena is currently being left for long hours due to a change in her working pattern and is not coping well. Malena is a very loving dog and loves cuddling up on the sofa.
Malena is a playful, active girl seeking an active lifestyle. She enjoys long walks and especially splashing about in the water.
Malena is currently walking morning and night, with a dog walker to walk her in between. Her recall training is being worked on in an enclosed field and is improving – helped by her favourite treat, cheese!
Malena will need a home where ideally she is not left for too long, and that will stimulate her with long walks, play and continued training.
Malena can be reactive to other dogs whilst on a lead but this is improving with correct training aids, which will need to be continued.
Malena has shown some guarding behaviours around sharing food with other dogs, so would ideally need to be the only dog in the home.
Due to her active nature, she would be best suited to a home with older children. Malena is currently in Hull.
