Stunning Max is looking for a new home due to his owner becoming terminally ill. Max is a fabulous dog, a fantastically loyal German Shepherd, anyone who loves this breed will adore Max! He has settled well with staff here and is an instant hit, he loves tearing around our field trying to play with us, he is unaware of how big he is! Max is good with dogs, but has never lived with children or cats. In his previous home, due to his owners illness, people would enter the house regularly and take his owner away, Max therefore began to get a little protective of his loved one and his house, he was vocal and would bark to let everyone know her was there! As German Shepherd Dog lovers will know, they can be a protective breed, so this is not unusual behavior.

Max is a lovely dog, he just needs an understanding owner to remember what he has been through before and help him to settle in his new home. Max can be left for up to three hours, so needs someone around for most of the day. He would benefit from an adult only home as he is not used to living with children. Max is an active dog so needs an active owner. He can be strong on the lead. He has a lovely personality and will make a wonderfully loyal companion.
