Murphy was quite overweight when he arrived due to neglect from his previous owner but his foster home has had him on a strict diet plan and he is losing weight steadily and safely.
Murphy will need a family who is happy to continue with this. Murphy is a wonderful dog and is very gentle and loving with young children, although unfortunately, we can only home to families with children over eight as he has never lived with them.
His foster home describes him as friendly, affectionate, easy-going and confident. He doesn’t bark at people at the door, passers-by, other dogs, etc.
He travels well in the car. He is currently living as an only dog but could be rehomed with another dog for company.
He has had another dog sleepover with no problems. He now walks for a couple of hours a day and his new family would need to be able to continue this.
Murphy will make the perfect, loyal companion for one lucky person or family.
As we mentioned before, he will need to have his weight controlled and be put on a strict exercise and diet regime, to help him get back into shape.
