Notley is a very appealing 8 year old Collie cross who is currently at his foster home in Crawley, West Sussex where he’s waiting for someone to offer him a permanent home. A relaxed boy in foster. Notley settled in to his foster home after only two nights. He’s a really easy-going, affectionate chap. Once he’s sure you’re coming back, Notley is content in his own company. He should be OK living with a full time worker as long as he has a walk or garden break at lunchtime. His foster carer has had to work a couple of long days and when she popped in to check on him, he was snoring away happily!

Notley always has a relaxed, waggy tail when meeting other dogs and is constantly ready to play. He’d probably enjoy living with a similarly cheerful dog! Notley hasn’t been properly introduced to any cats since being in foster but when he’s walked passed them on the lead, he hasn’t been interested in them. With careful introductions and a confident cat, he could possibly share his home with one. Notley has met children nicely at the local park. He was calm when a small group of 5-6 year old came over and asked to stroke him. He wagged his tail and was happy to oblige. He should be fine to live with children from quite small upwards. More people to play with and be fussed by!

Notley’s favourite pastimes (this could take a long time): Notley loves a cuddle and especially likes to curl up behind you on the sofa. He loves to be close. At night time, the closer the better! He’ll be happy sleeping on the landing upstairs but even happier on your bed.

Notley also loves to play. He loves a tennis ball… a squeaky tennis ball is even better – his inner puppy comes out! He really enjoys playing catch and will even be absorbed in delight if you go upstairs and roll the ball down to him. What a good game! He appreciates soft toys too. They don’t last long but he gets so much out of them… literally. For a fuss he likes to put his head in between your knees and just wait to receive the love he knows is due. He will always let you know when he wants a fuss!

Notley dislike the Vets. So far, that’s the only thing that’s troubled him. He’ll sit as near to the door as possible with his tail between his legs. He’s still a good, biddable boy… just really keen to get out of there! Notley would suit most homes, since he loves most things in life! As long as he has plenty of company, cuddles and play time, his life will be complete.

Notley is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and flea/worm treated. He has three fatty lumps but the vet isn’t at all concerned about them.
