Omelette – 4 year old male Cross-Breed

Omelette is a medium sized cross breed of around 4 years old currently in foster care in North Devon. We first met him back in April when we visited a vile public shelter in Romania. We picked him out of all the pleading faces because he had a broken leg…..or at least it looked broken. It took a while to get him to the UK due to various stumbling blocks but when he arrived in his foster home and I asked how his leg was the reply was ‘which leg?’ Now it would be cynical of me to suspect he feigned injury to get chosen but either way we are delighted to have the big faker safely over here.

As I have not spent time with him since that day in Romania I will leave you with the words from his fosterer:

Well what can we say about Omlette? He is probably the most perfect dog I have ever had the pleasure of caring for He is fully house trained, walks on a lead fabulously but does get nervous if people are behind or walking near him that isn’t his human. He will literally do anything for a treat (pheasant being his favourite, posh boy) lives happily with other dogs though is very submissive so nothing too dominant, he is easily scared.

Omelette currently lives with children over ten but he would be better in a home without young children. I am not sure how he would react to cats as I don’t have any but I am sure with proper introduction the placid boy should be fine. Omelette will chase a push bike which maybe suggests a bit of Terrier DNA in his make up. He travels well in a car, and is good for the vet if a little frightened, he is quite happy to sleep on a sofa all day with lots of cuddles.
