Sergio – 8-9 year old male Cross-Breed

Sergio is a 8 to 9 year old Crossbreed, for the first two years of his life, has been blind all of his life. He was found in a public shelter in a small village and pictures sent to his rescuer asking for help. 48 hours later he was operated on my the Romanian vets to remove the skin covering his eyes. He now has full vision, as far as we know, and is slowly coming out of his shell to be a sociable boy.

[rehomed]

After four days of hiding under the table he now comes out for walks and loves affection. He is only just learning how to ask for you to stroke him but has found the sofa and worked out how to get up the stairs. He is a quiet companion who likes to spend most of the day asleep and will benefit from a reasonably calm household with regular walks. With ore stimulation I expect he will really blossom in the right home.

He’s a sunny little fellow. He gets very excited to go out for a walk although doesn’t walk fast or pull. He’s more of a potterer and loves sniffing and peeing on everything. He’s very keen to be around his human and will follow you around at home once he’s comfortable there. Looking round to see his sweet little face behind me brightens my day.

We are a voluntary organisation with members from all over the world that have come together to help dogs in need, regardless of their location. To date we have helped dogs from Spain, Cyprus and Turkey but the majority of our work takes place in Romania where we have built up strong relationships with many dedicated rescuers before bringing the dogs to the UK and into foster care for rehoming.
