Shadow is a 7 year old, male, black and tan, semi haired German Shepherd. He is currently in foster in the Staffordshire area. This handsome gent will be microchipped before adoption. He will need his vaccinations starting form the beginning and he will need to be neutered (castrated) within one month of adoption in accordance to Cefni Gsd Rescue strict neutering policies. Shadow has had a poor life before coming to us and has lacked the training, socialisation and care that he deserves. He will need to continue with training to brush up on his very basic commands and recall.

Shadow is currently in foster with other shepherds and is socialised with dogs of all ages and breeds with no issues reported, therefore we would be happy to place him in a home with another dog or as an only dog. He has not been tested with cats so we would recommend a cat free home. He is quite a large boy who has never lives around children therefore we would suggest that children are aged from 12 years+ and are large dog savvy. Due to Shadow’s past he has come to us with a skin complaint and muscle wastage on his hind legs, this however does not affect him at all and he is currently living life to the full now that he is allowed to. A good diet, exercise and possibly hydrotherapy would help Shadow continue to thrive.
This boy has stolen many hearts in the rescue due to his nature and his ability to ‘slot in’ to his environment. He is an excellent all round good German Shepherd that has plenty of life left in him to enjoy the finer things in life that he so much deserves after his rubbish beginning.
