Sol is a 1-2 year old male Labrador Cross. He and Panther, Orion were found as strays wandering near the sovereign base area in Cyprus, and we were contacted by the police to ask if we could come and collect them. Thankfully we had shelter space so the following day we went to collect the boys.

We assume that they’re possibly a family unit, but we have no idea where they might have come from prior to ending up with us. He is the only yellow boy of the trio and he’s absolutely gorgeous. He has a scar above his eye which we think is likely from one of his brothers, but is otherwise in very good health.
Sol is a big boy and at the moment we’re working on discouraging him from jumping up as he doesn’t quite realise his own strength. He definitely needs a family who continue his training, as he’s smart and has the ability to pick things up quickly, but the shelter setting doesn’t permit for extensive 1-2-1 training. He has however already learned to sit for a treat!
He is looking for a semi-rural home with a garden. He is good with other dogs from what we have seen but needs gentle introductions as he can be a little anxious around unfamiliar dogs.
Because the boys seem to have been together for a while, they find confidence in having each other around, however there is a definite hierarchy between them and once separated it’s likely that Sol will need a little time to adjust as he figures out being independent. In the long run though it will be better for him.
He would be ideal for someone with an active lifestyle who is keen to train and happy to take things slowly as he adapts to a companion lifestyle. We don’t think Sol has ever been in a home before so it will be a big change, but he is very loving and keen to please. Given the opportunity we think he will do really well in a forever home.
